Hi there. I'm from the southern states. Yes, I do ride horses. No, not like a cowboy, I'm a jumper. Yes, we are beyond the pioneer age.
I enjoy most art media, though I'm certainly better at some than others. If you ask for critique, I will give it; be forewarned that I can be blunt but don't mean to be rude. Also, just because someone can't do something as well as you doesn't mean they can't help you in some way.
Update: Ok, I've been massively lazy about uploading art lately...but college keeps me busy and no one is heckling me about it so I'm assuming that it's all good.
Part of why I've been gone so long is that I went to a residential treatment facility in Longview, TX for 13 months. I was there for Depression, SI, Family Problems, Being Suicidal/Suicide Attempts. It took a long time to come to grips with this to the point of being able to really talk about it. But now I realize it's what I needed. It's a big part of how I'm still alive. It's part of my story and I'm not ashamed of my story. It's shaped me into who I am today. And most days I really like who I am.
These days I have blue hair...And I love it. I think I'm going to post a picture of it here in a minute actually. It's something I'd wanted to do for a while and now I finally can have it. So I'm keeping it as long as I possibly can. <3 (Which sadly ended over Christmas/Winter Break).
I pretty much live for when I see my boyfriend...we've been together over a year now and I just love him to death. He's amazing and helps me on the days when I'm hating my past or self-loathing. He tells me I'm beautiful and brave. That my scars don't bother him. He's actually said he wants to get a few tattooed on him, "To have something on me just like you and to have a reminder of just how strong my love (me) is." Totally made me tear up. Sorry, I know it's mushy, but he just makes me so happy.
